EVALUATION COMMITTEE
The Evaluation Committee is made up of three designated individuals consisting of one national collegiate Horse Judging Team coach, one representative from the studbooks in Belgian or The Netherlands and one representative from the Board of Directors or supporting Sub Committee. Evaluators are formally trained on the European Brabant breed standard and are tasked with providing the EBRA with independently judged, unbiased evaluations.

Monique Beullens is the daughter of a renowned Brabant Draft breeder, Frans Beullens of Ranst, Belgium. Given her heritage, Monique was born with a love for the breed. Professionally, she is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine at KUL and has been a valued official jury member of Flemish (Brabant) Horse in Belgium and The Netherlands for several years.

Dr. Kathy Anderson has been the Extension Horse Specialist at the University of Nebraska since 1991. She oversees the adult extension horse program as well as teaches Undergraduate courses in the Animal Science Department. Kathy currently teaches courses in Horse Management, Horse Industry Study Tour, Equine Reproduction, Equine Nutrition and Horse Evaluation. Additionally she is the coach of the UNL Horse Judging team. An avid horse show judge; Kathy is a carded judge with the American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, and National Snaffle Bit Association.
Along with her educational background, Kathy stays highly involved in the industry; previously she was an assistant trainer and breeding manager at a large Nebraska Quarter Horse farm. Her family raises and shows AQHA horses in various events, she is the past-Chair and current CFO of eXtension’s HorseQuest, Past-President of the American Youth Horse Council, is a member of AQHA’s Youth Committee. Kathy has been honored as a 2017 Equine Science Society Fellow, the recipient of the 2014 American Society of Animal Science Equine Science Award, and 2011 Equine Science Society Outstanding Educator Award. She is a graduate from the University of Nebraska (BS, Animal Science/Ag Education), Texas A & M (MS, Animal Science Reproduction) and Kansas State University (PhD, Animal Science).

Megan Greenwood is a lifetime horse enthusiast. She received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University where she was a member of the 2016 Reserve World Champion Horse Judging Team. Following graduation, she worked for Westway Feed formulating horse and cattle rations before receiving a masters in Agriculture Science- Ruminant Nutrition from Sam Houston State University. Here she was a member of the Stock Horse Team and assisted with Equine and Animal Science courses.
This Fall, Megan has taken the reins as Horse and Livestock Judging Teams coordinator at Sam Houston State University. Additionally, she teaches courses in Introductory Animal Science, Horse & Livestock Evaluation, as well as Equine Behavior & Training. She is passionate about providing a hands-on learning environment that arms students with confidence and relevant experience for their individual goals.
Outside of the classroom, Megan enjoys competing in stock horse events with her mare, Reba. She and her husband operate a registered Red Brangus cattle operation and breed a select number of mares every year.
